STRATEGIES 2 - Bible Storytelling and Word Engagement Training

Course Overview

This is a Bible Storytelling and Word Engagement strategies training that teaches practitioner (level 2) Scripture storytelling and dialogue skills and key strategies to engage with God's Word in a way that God's Word becomes flesh.   The course has 1) three big group Bible storytelling and dialogue sessions learning God's Word together; 2) five rounds for storytelling, dialogue, and coaching in small groups; and 3) a few short sessions for story learning time, Q & A, technical, and methodological issues.  

STRATEGIES 2 is usually taught as a two-day intensive, although there can be options to do the course over a longer period of time.  This course is heavily focused on the practical sides of methodology and hands on practice. With the hands-on practice, there is a lot of Word engagement naturally built into the course, since every session is about learning, sharing, and dialoguing God's Word.  Below is the course syllabus.

How can we come to the Temple, listen, ask questions, and obey like Jesus? (Luke 2:41-52)

Bible Storytelling & Engagement STRATEGIES 2 Training Description: 

• You will gain skill and confidence in practicing and doing the 7 Steps of Bible Storytelling & Dialogue by telling stories and leading group dialogue using the 7 Steps in a group as well as observing others practicing the same skills.

• You will gain skill in coaching yourself and others in the 7 Steps through practical exercises.

• You will receive personal coaching in the 7 Steps by an experienced instructor.

•  You will learn four strategies for transformational Scripture engagement based on the example of Jesus in Luke 2:41-52. 

• You will learn and apply these strategies practically in small groups by learning a story, sharing the story, and leading group dialogue.

• You will have an interactive encounter with God’s Living Word and learn tools for enjoying a lifetime of dynamic spiritual growth.
